Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I find the address for your next sale?

The address for our next sale is generally posted the day prior to the sale start date.

You can find the address on the 'Home' and 'Next Estate Sale' pages of our website, on our Facebook page, in our email newsletter, and on EstateSales.net.

What should I expect at an estate sale?

Since estate sales are held in private residences, you may encounter uneven floors, irregular stairs, low ceilings, etc. Please use caution while shopping and always watch your step!

How early should I arrive to a sale?

Depending on the sale, we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to the start time in order to get your name on our sign-up sheet.

What is a sign-up sheet?

Sign-up sheets are typically used on the first day of sales, very busy sales, or sales in small homes. When you arrive, be sure to put your name on the list and keep in mind that you must be present when your name is called.

Will you honor another person's early sign-up sheet?

Yes, BUT all names on the early list must be present when we put our sign-up sheet out 30 minutes prior to the sale starting.

What if I'm not there when my name is called?

If you are not present when your name is called you will lose your place in line and must sign up again at the bottom of the list.

Is there a restroom I can use at the sale?

Unfortunately not. Homeowners request that we do not allow our customers to use the restrooms as their use may lead to maintenance issues in the home.

Am I allowed to bring food or drink into the sale?

We do not allow open food or beverages into our sales simply to protect the home against any spills or stains. Bottled water is allowed.

Where should I park?

Always follow normal parking regulations (such as not parking in front of mailboxes, driveways, fire hydrants, etc.). Depending on the sale there may be additional restrictions (such as parking on one side of the street only) so keep an eye out for any signs or notes on our website or Facebook.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We primarily accept cash. We will accept a check if you have valid ID and are willing to sign a good faith agreement basically stating that your check is good. We do not accept credit cards at this time.

Do you give prices out before the sale starts?

We do not give out any prices before the sale starts to ensure that some shoppers do not have an unfair advantage over others.

How do you determine what price you give an item?

We rely on both the research we conduct and our years of expertise to determine how an item is priced.

Do you reduce prices at all?

Generally, yes. Depending on the sale, prices typically are reduced after the first day, and are reduced further for additional days. Keep in mind that not all items may be discounted.

Do you have anyone who can help me load my purchases?

For the safety of our workers, we unfortunately cannot assist when moving or loading large, heavy, or bulky items. We can arrange a time, before the sale ends, for you to bring help to load your item, if needed.

Can I come back to pick up an item up if I can’t take it with me?

Absolutely! Keep in mind that all items must be picked up before the end of the last sale day.

How do I make an offer on an item?

Basically you provide us with your name, contact information, item you are interested in, and the price you are willing to pay. At the end of each sale day we go through all offers and if yours is the highest offer on an item, we will contact you to arrange a time for you to pick up and pay for your item.

Can I contact you to see if an item is still available?

Yes, but we may not be able to get back to you until the end of the sale day. The best way to check on an item is to visit the sale and ask us or look for it.

Can I return something I bought?

No, all items are sold as-is and all sales are final. Please inspect the item carefully before you purchase it.

Why can’t I see the addresses of all of your upcoming sales?

For the privacy and security of the homeowners and estate, sale addresses are not published until a few days prior to the sale. Addresses are published in our newsletter, website, and on EstateSales.net.

How can I find your upcoming sales?

You can join our email list, follow us on Facebook, check our website, look for our listings on EstateSales.net, or check your local newspaper. Click here to visit the Contact page for more information and links.
