Balderdash Estate Sales was originally established in 2009 as "The Balderdash Collection, Previously Luv'd Goods." We had a storefront in downtown Waukegan, Illinois and sold items on consignment.

 

The former owner of Balderdash, Peggy, had previously been conducting yard sales at other people's homes and would sell items for others at these sales, too. In early 2010, Peggy held her first official Estate Sale under the Balderdash name.

 

Since then, we have held over 250 Estate Sales all over Lake County, Illinois and Kenosha County, Wisconsin. Our loyal customers and satisfied clients keep us growing strong with tons of word of mouth referrals.

As of October 2018, Peggy retired and sold the business to long time friend and employee, DJ Allen. DJ has worked for Peggy for 8 years helping conduct and set-up estate sales. DJ has a passion for helping people and is devoted to carrying on the successful mission of Balderdash Estate Sales.
